what are your bonnets made from?
Listed on each bonnet description individually, the exterior is made from natural fibers like cotton, linen, or wool, and lining is either beautiful 100% cotton or ultra soft organic Sherpa cotton.
what is so special about liberty of london fabric?
World-renowned Liberty fabric has been in production since the 1800’s. Known for their beautiful florals, the tightly woven fabric is extremely lightweight and ultra soft. It’s owner Rachel’s personal favorite and makes for wonderful heirloom pieces.
what size should i order?

are your bonnets preshrunk?
Yes, all our fabrics have been pre-treated using fragrance-free, hypoallergenic detergent.
do you make bonnets for all seasons?
We do! Select bonnets can be customized for seasonality. Unless noted otherwise, our bonnets are fully lined with 100% lightweight cotton. If you are needing a cold-weather bonnet, we offer a super-cozy and ultra warm sherpa lining in select styles.
how do i care for my bonnet?
We recommend hand washing your bonnet gently, using cold water and laying flat to dry. Wool and some speciality bonnets are best with just a spot clean. Feel free to iron after laundering. Do not bleach or use oxidizing agents.

what is your return/exchange policy?
Didn’t quite find the right fit? We accept exchanges for unwashed/unworn bonnets within 30 days after the product is received, pending inventory availability. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. If your desired size/style is not available at the time of your return, we are happy to offer an alternative, or you will be issued a store credit.
Before you purchase, please be aware of the handmade qualities of the Briar Basket and Doll Basket. If you are unhappy with your basket, we will accept returns in original packaging. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Please notify us right away if there is a problem or defect with your product. Prior to sending a return, please contact us for return authorization.
In the event you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately. Refunds may take up to 5 business days to post to your account, and payments made via paypal e-check cannot be refunded until payments are released, sometimes taking up to 5 business days.
In the event you need to make a change to an order, please contact us immediately. Once an order begins processing, edits can no longer be made.
Discount codes need to be applied at the time the order is placed. Please be aware that certain launches and sales do not allow the use of discount codes.
All international orders and clearance items are considered final sale. Some special releases are final sale and will designate this in the product description
do you ship world-wide?
Happily. International shipping begins with a $15.00 flat-rate for a single bonnet ($11.00 for Canada) and all sales are final. Please note: buyer is responsible for any import or customs fees that may apply.
how long will it take to receive my bonnet?
Bonnets are ready to ship when your order is placed, but please allow up to 2 business days for processing. Additional processing days may be noted during times of high order volume. For domestic shipping, allow 3-5 business days until receipt. For international shipping, please allow up to 3 weeks.
what if my package is lost or stolen?
Briar handmade is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please check with your local USPS if you believe your package has been lost or stolen. Packages that are lost by USPS will be replaced after 30 days of non-movement for domestic orders and 8 weeks for international. Please note that refunds are not issued by Briar Handmade on lost packages.
